ABOUT WEDDING GARTER: In the 14th century, it was customary for the bride to toss her wedding garter to the men, but sometimes the men got too drunk, and would become impatient and try to take the bridal garter off her ahead of time. It got to be less trouble for her just to toss the bridal garter. To make it easier, the Groom would return the wedding garter and the toss it to the men attending the wedding. The man who catches the wedding garter would then wear it on his arm.
The Wedding Garter is a very special keepsake coveted by both you and the lucky man who catches it,
just as the bridal bouquets is special to you and the lucky lady who catches it. In both instances,
you may want to have extra ones to throw so that you can keep the original for yourself.
